THE TEXAS JOBS CRISIS
NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT

Every year, 346,000 Texas high school students graduate.
Where are their jobs?

Let's Look at the Numbers

Politicians love to talk about "job creation." But nobody talks about WHO is getting those jobs.

346,000
Texas high school graduates per year who need jobs
14M
Total jobs in Texas (2024)
4,597
H-1B visa applications filed by just 3 Indian outsourcing companies in Texas (FY 2024)

⚠️ Here's What Governor Abbott Won't Tell You

Governor Abbott has made multiple taxpayer-funded trips to India to meet with Indian IT outsourcing companies. These same companies are the top H-1B visa sponsors in Texas, bringing in foreign workers instead of hiring Texas graduates.

The Top H-1B Sponsors in Texas

These are the companies bringing the most foreign workers to Texas on H-1B visas (Fiscal Year 2024):

Company H-1B Applications Average Salary
Tata Consultancy Services 1,749 $107,440
Cognizant Technology Solutions 1,573 $96,109
Infosys 1,275 $98,812
Ernst & Young 1,112 $137,154
Amazon.com Services 1,056 $140,225
HCL America 730 $98,136
Wipro 430 $85,183
LTIMindtree 398 $105,621
Tech Mahindra 364 $102,333
Mphasis 341 $111,700

🚨 CRITICAL FACT

Infosys paid a record $34 MILLION settlement in 2013 for systemic visa fraud.

Yet Governor Abbott still invited them to Texas and gave them state contracts funded by YOUR tax dollars.

Do The Math

Every year in Texas:

346,000

High school graduates who didn't go to college and need jobs

Plus:

Yet we're importing tens of thousands of H-1B workers

Why can't Texas graduates find good jobs?

The Employment Reality in Texas

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data for the West South Central region (which includes Texas):

4.2M
Foreign-born workers employed (2024)
15.9M
Native-born workers employed (2024)

That means more than 1 in 5 workers in our region are foreign-born – and that number keeps growing while Texas kids can't find work.

Who Benefits From This System?

✅ The Winners:

  • Indian outsourcing companies like Tata, Infosys, and Cognizant
  • Politicians who take campaign donations from these companies
  • Corporate executives who cut costs by hiring cheaper foreign labor
  • Lobbyists and special interests

❌ The Losers:

  • Texas high school graduates who can't find their first job
  • Texas college graduates buried in student debt with no job prospects
  • Experienced Texas workers who get laid off and replaced
  • Texas families struggling to make ends meet
  • Texas taxpayers funding contracts that won't hire them

The Solution

It's Simple:

Every Texas state contract should prioritize hiring Texans.

If a company wants Texas taxpayer money, they should hire Texas workers.

Not foreign workers on H-1B visas.
Not workers imported from India.
TEXANS.

This isn't complicated. This isn't left or right. This isn't about immigration.

This is about making sure that when Texas spends taxpayer money, it creates jobs for Texans – not replaces them.

Why Doesn't Anyone Talk About This?

Senator Cornyn won't talk about it – He's been in Washington for 22 years and hasn't fixed it.

Governor Abbott won't talk about it – He's the one making trips to India to recruit these companies.

Other candidates won't talk about it – They're too busy with the usual talking points.

The media won't cover it – It's not politically correct to say American workers should come first.

But I'll talk about it.
Because Texas families deserve the truth.

It's Time to Put Texans First

I'm Virgil Bierschwale, and I'm running for U.S. Senate because someone needs to fight for Texas workers.

No special interest money. No corporate donors. Just a message that matters:
TEXAS TAXPAYER MONEY SHOULD HIRE TEXAS WORKERS.
